FERNANDO FUENTES (a.k.a. CUE)- Biographical Information The greatest asset any performer can possess is versatility. The ability to turn with ease, from one thing to another, adapting a variety of skills, and using them with equal dexterity to create a picture that is whole and unique. FERNANDO FUENTES aka C U E is a performer of this caliber. In his 14 years of performing, (as a musician first, and then as a deejay) he has captured a number of art forms and today, utilizes it to create a sound and style that is uniquely his own. FERNANDO discovered his love for music at an early age. The son of an artist, he acquired his first instrument (a drum set) by the age of 14. Handcrafted by his father and himself, Fernando started playing drums and found himself jamming in various events alongside now legendary musicians from all across South America. By 20, he became one of the most solicited drummers in the underground music scene in his native Santiago de Chile, playing with different bands, different styles, going from jazz, rock and even techno pop, signaling the beginning of a versatile career. By 1995, C U E moved to Miami Beach looking to enhance his frontiers and cultural exchange. The city offered him a mixture of languages, flavors and grooves, all new elements to absorb and play with. In the next two years venues like Clevelander, Promenade, Roses, Brand's break, Groovejet, Century and Marlin Bar were the stage to interact with different bands, musicians and deejays as well. While Miami Beach approached it's transformation to fit the "Clubland" scene, Fernando, along with other deejays, were able to develop their house roots and play a starring part within this new born dance music city. In the last couple of years, a new era of clubs like Bar Room, Crobar, Nikki Beach and WAX have been the setting for his deejay performances along with BLUE, his resident club for more than 2 year. This experience united Fernando with Spanish Fly's founder Fabian Giannattasio, who together are known as Mood&CUE, ("....a high quality working team" (Kevin Mackey, president of Glasgow Underground records UK); together they combine a mixture of House moods and grooves.
